Who we are:

The Basics

We are a group of simple, New Testament Christians who are trying to be like the church that you read about in the Bible.  We shun man-made doctrines, church politics, and try to keep our focus on living out the Scriptures, and encouraging others to do the same.
We believe that you will find us to be Christ-centered and truth loving.

We Have Great Bible Classes

We have Bible-centered classes, from the pre-school age to adult.
Our teachers are dedicated and invest a great amount of time, attention, faith and love in leading our children in the adventures and joy of learning God's word.  We try to make all of our classes interesting, educational and application based.

We Are Building Faith and Friendships

This congregation is a spiritual family that is striving to provide mutual support and love; an environment of caring and involvement that goes far beyond our meeting place.  We hope you enjoy the friendly atmosphere and "down home" hospitality that God's people should be known for.
We believe that one of God's richest blessings is that of godly friendship.

Not Denominational

Like the original church described in the New Testament, we are independent and not part of a denomination.  Jesus prayed that his followers would be one (John 17:21), and we try to do our part by keeping his word as the only standard of faith.  We believe that the world needs unity, not more division. We simply follow the Word of God, and use it as our standard for all of our doctrine and beliefs.

The Authority of the Bible

Jesus wanted people to know the truth about God -
a truth untainted by man-made traditions and opinion (Matt. 15:1-4).
We want to have unity in doctrine, liberty in opinion, and love in all things.  We encourage people to respect what the Bible says.

One of the amazing things about Scripture is that it never changes.
What it said when it was first spoken is the same thing it says now.
The Scriptures were written in a language called Koine Greek, a type of the language which is no longer spoken and therefore is frozen in time. That is no accident; it is a providential provision. That means that the language of the Bible is never in a state of flux like other languages. Its word meanings are sealed in time. It still says the same thing it said when it was first revealed to the apostles and prophets, and we make it our goal to follow it as it is written.

Scriptural Leadership

Our congregation is overseen by a plurality of elders and deacons,
just as the New Testament teaches (1 Tim. 3:1-13).
They attain this privilege through a lifetime of dedication and helping others.
You will find them to be approachable and understanding.

You Are Welcome

We would be delighted to have you worship with us this Sunday.
You will not be solicited for money, you will not be pressured.
But you will be encouraged by the presence of cheerful people who will see the best in you. We look forward to your coming.

It is truly our goal, our aim, and our privilage
to share the love of God with you.
