Now this was an awesome day !!!
Thomas was ready for a baptism... | Robert was ready for a baptism... | Jeremy was ready for a baptism... |
And the angels in heaven rejoiced !
This is what it is all about!
We had an incredible day of worshipping God. The services started off in the morning with Robert finally being unleashed from the pulpit. With our new wireless microphone set up he was free to roam, be animated, and strike fear in the hearts of young people pretending to go to the bathroom, but really going out to goof around. (He explained to us, he could now keep going with the sermon and follow them out to make sure they were doing what they were supposed to be doing.)
Being the last Sunday of the month we had our song service in the evening, and the songs were especially lively, and heartfelt. I don't know if it was that people just had the feeling a baptism was coming... or if they were looking forward to the great dinner that was to follow for our fellowship meal.
The theme of our fellowship meal was "Bring your favorite food from when you were a child".
Thank you so much to Angie and the Seal family for hosting this, and thank you to everyone who came and participated.
But Thomas was certain to put the "icing of the cake" when he announced, I want to be baptized into Christ!
We went upstairs for some study, some singing, some prayers, and Thomas was immersed into the waters of baptism!
The angels in heaven rejoiced...
And, we did some rejoicing too... We all agree.... Wet hugs are the best hugs !
Our new fellowship room is kept busy | Even the classrooms were full | This was where the "in crowd" was |
So good to have R.C. back | Is it time for dessert? | Yes, John knows what table to eat from! |
What's so funny Jerrik? | Food makes our Elders happy ! | Jeff is just happy its not mexican food |
